Technology, intermedia and multimedia productions, and live performance are the hallmarks of music at Kingston – we like a challenge. As part of the 2012 Cultural Olympiad with a project called Bodies in Motion, making reference not only to the athletics but also to the work of pioneering photographer Eadweard Muybridge (1830–1904), who was born and died in Kingston.
Kingston University Collegiate Music will present three webcasts of live performances which take place simultaneously in three different countries – the UK, USA and the Netherlands. Each of the performances will feature original music by student composers, original dance by student choreographers and original sound design by music technology students. It will be a multimedia production making use of all the diverse talents in our team of students and staff.
