The Way We Are Now is split into two sections:
- The Way We Live Now questions the society we currently find ourselves in. In an age of financial crises and budget cuts, with government services having to cut their effectiveness, this movement not only questions the logic behind such cuts as Policing, Health, Defence and Education, but also questions whether we really need to use so much technology and own so many material goods.
- The Way We Feel Now explores the idea that even though society may change us (for example, by making us greedy for material wealth, as explored in The Way We Live Now), humans will always feel the same basic emotions.
